I am the designer behind JOOS prints and patterns. After studying graphic design at the Grafisch Lyceum in Eindhoven, i began a fashion design study at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. Subsequently i worked at an advertising agency for a few years, but my true calling proved impossible to ignore. This JOOS adventure started in the city of Nijmegen in 2015 after a specialising studies in pattern design at Akademie Vogue in Amsterdam.
Nature serves as my main source of inspiration, which, together with my background in graphic design, has led to my signature prints of flowing yet abstract forms. A lot of my designs are first painted and/or drawn by hand and digitally processed into their unique design.
